Cake:

    * 2 packs frozen grated cassava, thawed (kamoteng kahoy)
    * 1 can sweetened condensed milk (reserve 1/3 cup for topping)
    * 1 can evaporated milk (reserve 1/3 cup for topping)
    * 1 can coconut cream (reserve 1/3 cup for topping)
    * 3 eggs plus 2 egg whites
    * 1 cup sweetened coconut strings (macapuno strings)

Topping:

    * 2 egg yolks
    * 1/3 cup reserved sweetened condensed milk
    * 1/3 cup reserved evaporated milk
    * 1/3 cup reserved coconut cream

Pinoy Recipe Cassava Cake Procedures:

1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
2. In large mixing bowl beat the eggs.
3. Then add the remaining cake ingredients. Mix well.
4. Pour into a baking dish and bake until the top is no longer liquid. (approx 30-40 minutes)
5. Mix topping ingredients and pour on top of the cake.
6. Bake for another 20 minutes.
7. Switch the oven’s broiler (low) on and bake under the broiler for 2-3 minutes until the top of the cake is browned.
8. Serve warm or cold as a dessert.]]></description>

1/2 cup flour
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 cup milk
3 ripe saba (banana plantain), peeled and sliced lengthwise
2 cups vegetable oil
flour, for dredging · sugar
Maruya (Banana Fritters) Procedures:

In a bowl, sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add milk and egg, beat until smooth.
Heat oil in a frying pan (or a large saucepan) over medium heat.
In batches, roll banana slices in flour and then dip in batter. Fry in hot oil until golden brown.
Drain on paper towels. Roll in sugar. Place in a serving dish and serve.

4 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups white sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
6 eggs
1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk
1 1/2 cups water
2 1/4 cups Edam cheese, shredded

Puto (Filipino Rice Cake) Procedures:

    * Grease small cake, puto molds, or ramekins for use in a steamer.

    * Mix the flour, sugar, and baking powder together in a bowl.

    * In a separate, large bowl, scramble the eggs with the evaporated milk and water.

    * Fold the dry mixture into the eggs until evenly blended.

    * Fill the prepared molds 2/3 of the way up with the batter and top with shredded cheese.

    * Fill a wok or a sauce pan that will hold a steamer basket with a few inches of water.

    * Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat.

    * Place the molds into a steamer basket and place over the boiling water and cover.

    * Steam until a toothpick inserted in the center of one of the putos comes out clean, about 30 minutes.

    * Cool on a wire rack and serve warm or at room temperature.

COOKING TIPS:

    * If you do not have access to a steamer: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) oven. Pour your batter into greased muffin tins and place the tins into a large high sided pan; place onto the rack of the preheated oven. Carefully pour boiling water into the large pan, so that it reaches half way up the sides of the muffin tin. Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 35 minutes.

1 kilo spaghetti noodles
3/4 kilo ground beef
1 carrot; minced
1 small can evaporated milk
1 can liver spread
1/4 kilo hotdog slices
4 cloves garlic; minced
1 onion; minced
2 bottles of banana catsup
1 can tomato sauce
1 cup grated cheese
1 tablespoon sugar
Salt and pepper
Cooking oil

Filipino Spaghetti Procedures:

    * Boil spaghetti noodles with salt and cooking oil for 10 minutes. Drain and set aside in a platter.

FOR THE SAUCE MIXTURE:

    * Sauté garlic and onion.

    * Add ground beef and cook until meat turns light brown. Season with salt and pepper.

    * Season with salt and pepper.

    * Add banana catsup and tomato sauce.

    * Simmer for 10 minutes.

    * Add hotdog, carrots, sugar, liver spread and milk.

    * Simmer for 5 minutes.

    * Pour the mixture on top of the spaghetti noddles. Garnish with grated cheese.
